How far along are you? 30 weeks, 3/4 of the way there!
How big is baby? about the size of an Squash! 15.2-16.7 inches long and 2.5-3.8 pounds!
Maternity clothes? yes all the time, pretty much none of my clothes other than my large sweatshirts fit. I am wearing one of Mikes t-shirts today.
Weight -Loss or Gain? Gain, doctor said it was looking good and that is all I am saying...Belly definitely growing, I feel like the Grinch except it is my baby bump vs my heart that is growing.
Sleep: I love sleep currently, now having to get up at nights but still only once. It has been taking a bit long to get comfy and I MUST have a pillow between my legs otherwise my hips kill be the next day.
Any Movement? Lot of movement! Blueberry does somersaults kicks me and punches me on a regular basis. Mike has felt Blueberry Rolling this past week too!
Food Cravings? Well with all the sweets around for Christmas Anything I can see looks good
Food Aversions? Nope none of those
Belly Button in or out? in but definitely stretching, Blueberry is trying to make and escape out of it
What do you miss: the occasional glass of wine, being able to bend over easily

Busy Busy
The last 2 weeks have been crazy. The first weekend we had Mikes Dad, step mom, sister and nephew at our house. I through a baby shower for Tasha, Mikes Sister. She is due right around Thanksgiving with a little boy named Ayden. It was a great time with a few games, a mashed potato bar, and of course gifts. She got a ton of cute outfits, a bunch of bath stuff and a cute diaper changing thingy.
The day after the shower, Sunday, I took of for Bismarck. Where I still am. I am taking a Bridge Inspectors Class so I will be qualified to inspect bridges as required by federal law!! CRAZY! There is so much information that I have been learning. I have my final exam tomorrow! Last weekend Mike came down to Bismarck for the weekend thanks to his Aunt for watching Java and Grandma O for watching Cora. We had a great awesome weekend. We went out to eat, registered at Target, and bought the tile, vanity, counter top and light for the bathroom remodel. We also went and saw the movie Courageous, so good. And had a couple meals with our friends Sara and Adam.
Today marks 21 weeks!! for blueberry. Half way through. I am finally starting to show a little. I can feel him or her moving around in me. Mike even felt the baby move as we were going to bed last weekend, which was way cool. I have been feeling great too. A little tired and stressed with the class but I can not complain.
I promise to post some pictures once I get back Home!

One Year Seven Months
It has been one year and seven months since Callen has not been with us. It still sucks. Most of the time I do ok and go on living life in a “new normal,” but then sometimes it hits me that he is not coming back. It sucks now that Mike and I are going to have a baby; that our child will NEVER EVER get to know their Uncle Callen. I know he would be the crazy uncle too. Teaching them to play instruments and taking them on adventures. I know our child will always know of Callen but they will never experience a Callen hug or hear in person his infectious laugh.
The holidays coming up will be hard also. Last year Mike and I were in Alaska by ourselves and could somewhat ignore that Callen was missing from the festivities. There will be no way of ignoring it this year. Mom and Dad are coming to our house for Thanksgiving, Callen will not. Mike and I are going to Minnesota around Christmas Callen will not be there to welcome us. The holidays will be like this from now on. Our child and any future children will never have cousins on my side. Of course I am close to my cousins and their children will be like cousins to ours but never TRUE cousins. Thankfully our child will have plenty of cousins on Mike side, currently 3 with another one due in November. But my side it will only be our children. This makes me sad.
I know Callen would want us all to go on with life and be happy. Doing what makes us happy and spreading his love. So I try my hardest to push on.

15 weeks
At fifteen weeks I am starting to show, just a little bit. We are starting to buy a few things for the baby. The first things we bought was a couple books for the nursery including One fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, and The Lorax. And we have decided to go with the theme of One fish Two fish for the nursery. We got this to put in the nursery
The first diaper that I ordered was off of Baby Steals dot com. It is a Bum Cheeks Diaper. It is shown on the right. It can fit babies from 8 to 35 pounds, changing the snaps from small to large as shown below.
We plan to put it above the crib.
Then today I ordered our first two or three cloth diapers! Yes I know some people think that I am a little crazy for choosing to use or even try cloth diapers. I have done my research. Not only is it much healthier for our baby's skin, but it keeps diapers out of the landfill and keeps money in our pockets. If you are interested in learning more about cloth diapers I encourage you to look here http://www.jilliansdrawers.com/newtocloth There is a ton of information.

The second diaper I ordered is a Bum Genius. These are the diapers I know the most about I "think" we will really like them but ordered one to make sure.
The final diaper I ordered is more to make some cute burp clothes for blueberry but can also be used as diapers. I got 6 of the traditional Indian Prefold cloth diapers. Although these days they do not need a safety pin, there is a little devise called a Snappi that you can use. Unlike the Bum Cheeks and Bum Genius diapers a Prefold diaper requires a cover to waterproof it, the other two diapers have built in water barriers.
Finally in baby news I had an appointment on Friday. The heart rate was 154, my blood pressure, weight, and urine were all good!! Our next appointment is October 6th and it is the big one! We get our ultrasound.

Great weekend
Wow Mike and I had another great weekend! Mom and Dad got here around 1 on Friday. And got right to work.
On Friday Dad and Mike installed a new water heater and started to replace the 2 prong outlets with 3 prong outlets on the main level. The water heater went in fast... the outlets were a bit more challenging and were left half done. When they were done we had Alaskan Halibut and Asparagus for dinner. Then sat in the red bathroom for over an hour trying to decide on how best to redo it.
Saturday morning we ate the Berry Good French Toast Bake Mom and I had made Friday. (http://lonesomehollow.com/recipes/dish/berry-good-french-toast-bake/) It was really really yummy. Then Dad and Mike got to work again! They installed the new chandelier in the dinning room. Then installed 3 new ceiling fans up stairs, one in each bedroom. The boys also finished the electrical work on the first floor. Mom and I went to the few garage sales there were around town. We did not find much but we did find a glider for the nursery for only $30!! I was not planning on getting a glider but for $30 vs $500 at the furniture store, I could not say no and it will look good in the nursery. We also went to Ashley Furniture and Mom and Dad bought us (Mike, Me and Blueberry) a new recliner as their shower gift for blueberry. It should be to town in about 2 weeks. It is soooo comfy. Saturday night we had Grandma O over for dinner. And then watched How to Train Your Dragon. Well mom and dad did, Mike and I slept though most of it.
Sunday we got up and went to the 9:30 church service. Then came home and got to work...again. Dad sealed some opening on the outside of the house, they put up a new light in the back yard, put a new lock on the shed, brought our kayak over from Grandma O's, snaked out a couple of drains in the basement and by the laundry and tried to fix our basement shower. The basement shower just needs to but ripped out and redone, well the whole bathroom does but it will work until the red bath is redone in November.
Today we got up had a few muffins talked a bit. Then made a list of things both Dad and Mike need to get or get done befroe November so we are ready for the bathroom redo. Dad and Mike hung a shelf up in our bedroom and I moved a picture. Then it was time to say good bye. I think Cora and Willow were the saddest to say good bye. They play so well together and wear each other out for the most part.
I can't wait for Mom, Dad and Willow to come back in November!

Almost the weekend
Yes we are still alive... barely. I have been working a tons still and Mike has been busy painting and stripping wall paper.
Here is our Den/main floor Bedroom Mike has been working on.
Yep it is my craft room and I even have an area for my yoga mat and weights. I love it! It is so much brighter
We have bought 3 ceiling fans to put in the upstairs bedrooms which you can see in the current nursery photo. Mike and my dad are going to install them this weekend. Mom and Dad are going to be here Friday through Monday morning! Dad is also bring a bunch of other stuff for the house including a new water heater and a shower handle for the claw foot tub. And we will design and make a list of materials for redoing the upstairs bath.
Here is our Den/main floor Bedroom Mike has been working on.

Here is the future Nursery:
| Before, wall paper behind the bed |
| Current Mike removed 2 layers of wall paper. |
Because this is not working for me. We are going to be completely gutting this room come November. Mom, Dad, and maybe my uncle will be coming up for 10 days to help add a separate standing shower and get rid of the red shag carpet. But keeping my claw foot tub!
On the Blueberry front not much is new. I am still tired but thank God I have not had morning sickness. I have gotten a bit nausea if my stomach is empty and I get really hungry. I am not really showing at all yet. We are working on designing the nursery with the theme of One fish, Two fish. We are still so so so excited!!!

10 Years Together
10 years ago Thursday Mike and I started dating, after talking on the phone through an entire Viking Pre-season game. It is really hard to believe that we have been together that long, I am starting to feel old.
We have been through so many things is the last 10 years to list just a few of the happy memories:
- · started and graduated high school
- · met at the Mall of America for numerous dates
- · went to 2 proms, and at least 5 Home Coming Dances
- · made it through college, including me being in Sweden for 5 months
- · got Java in 2007
- · we have vacationed to Colorado, Maine, Hawaii, Sweden, Minnesota and numerous camping trips in Alaska
- · Mike took a leap of faith and moved to Alaska when I got a job out of college
- · moved into our first two condos together in Anchorage
- · Got married in 2008
- · Adopted Cora this past January, although it feels like she has been in our family for nearly 10 years
- · I took a leap of faith and moved to North Dakota when Mike got his dream job as a Police officer
- · We bought our first home together
And those are just a few of the highlights. I am in no way saying we have not had hard times. Moving to Alaska, away from everything and everyone who we were close to was challenging. Mike has lost both of his Grandfathers and we lost Callen. But we have been each other’s shoulder to cry on. Have made each other breakfast in bed, so the other would get up and go to work. And have made each other laugh I am so thankful to have had Mike by my side through the good, the bad and the everyday. He has kept me grounded and adds a bit of adventure into my life. I can’t wait to see what the next ten, twenty, thirty and more years will bring.

Home Sweet Home
We are finally in our 1910 House. We moved in on July 15th, my 25th Birthday. It is great having our own space to do what we want in. There are a few pictures above.
Granted I have not had a ton of time to "do what I want" since I have been working around 80 hours a week. While nice for the bank account, not so nice to relax or do things around the house. But miracle of miracles Friday I got off work at 3, after only working 9 hours and I also had today and Sunday off. AMAZING! Friday we went to a few garage sales and found a new chandelier for the dinning room for only 10 dollars. This morning we were both awake by 7:30, yeah we are getting old, so we we hit up a few more. We found a couple games, a paint roller and some canning jars. Then we dropped Cora off at Grandma O's for the day and Mike and I made a big trip to Minot. Primarily to go to Menards. But we also went to Hobby Lobby, the Mall, Target, and out to eat at Ruby Tuesday. I also got my hair cut, finally.
Any who at Menards we bought 3 ceiling fans for the up stairs bedrooms, a 6 foot ladder, and a bunch of painting stuff. We also bought the game ladder golf and some cream soda. We plan on painting the main floor bedroom which will by my craft room and our office soon. White/cream on 3 walls and a magenta color on one wall, which will brighten up the room since it is currently wood paneling. My parents are coming up on labor day weekend!! Mike and my dad will install the new lighting. Dad is also bring us a new water heater and a conversion for the claw foot in the upstairs bath, to make it a shower too.
We are loving the new house and are so excited to have guests. The guest room is ready so just let us know when you are in the area. Until I have time to write again. Love ya Megan and Mike

Alive
We are alive... barely but here we are. Mike has been working like normal. Megan has been working up a storm, think 75+ hours a week, which is why there has been like no post lately. Last weekend, for the 4th Megan had Friday-Monday off and we headed down to Huron South Dakota to visit our "Alaskan" Friends Hans, Samantha and Jacob. It was a great weekend and really felt like summer. Mike and Hans took a trip to Mitchell to go to Cabela's and Home Depot. They also stopped by the Corn Palace. Samantha and I went to the city pool, while her mom had Jacob at home. We had a great time relaxing and sitting in the sun. Saturday Night we went to some fire works.
As for our house :) We had the appraisal last Thursday. And sadly it can in at $6,000 below what we offered. And the bank wanted them to fix a toilet in the basement bathroom and the sink in the closet in the basement. I freaked out. Thinking there was no way the home owner was going to go down that far. Guess what she came down $5,000 and is going to fix the plumbing issues. As long as the plumbing issues are fixed by Wednesday we will be closing on Friday at 2!! Happy Birthday to ME!!!
We plan on cleaning most the afternoon/evening on Friday. And actually move in all out stuff on Saturday. Well we will move in at least a bed on Friday so we can spend the night there. I am taking Friday and Saturday off of work so we will have 3 days to get the house in order!

Great Weekend Again
Yesterday was a great weekend!! I worked 13.5 hours on Saturday so Sunday was my only day off. Mike and I made the most out of it. First off we set and alarm for ten thinking that we would play hooky from church, unless we woke up in time (tsk, tsk I know.) But I woke up at 8:45 so we had just the right amount of time to make it to the 9:30 service. Plus I felt well rested! We left Cora with Grandma O. And after church we headed into Minot. I like the town we live in but the only "Big Box" store is Wal.mart. Which I prefer not to support, but shop there since it is the only real option for a few things.
On the drive to Minot we made a list of he things we would like to upgrade in our new house!! Lets just say the length of the list is much larger than our bank account will currently allow. but we think we have the projects which we are going to tackle this year nailed down.
I was awesome to be in a real mall in Minot. We went to Target, Sears, Old Navy, Scheels, and many other stores. We ate lunch at Grizzlies, it was fabulous. Mike ended up getting a Under Armor Shirt for work and I got a super comfy long skirt from Old Navy. And we picked up a few items from Target. Then we went to Menard. If only money were not a problem. We looked around at the the prices of different things and got ideas on how to update the "Red Bath of Horror".
We cannot wait to move into the house. I cannot wait to get a kitchen of my own again. Mike can't wait to have a lawn of this own to manicure. Only 3 weeks 4 days!!

Theodore Roosevelt Nation Park
Saturday the construction crew took the day off!!! Which was perfect because my Mom and Dad were up for the weekend. Saturday turned out to be a BEAUTIFUL day! So while Mike slept, since he is on night again, we loaded up the car and drove south to the North unit of Theodore Roosevelt Nation Park. We did about a 2 hour hike, the canons are breath taking. We also saw 4 bison, some flowers, and birds. Here are just a few pictures

On the way to and from the badlands we drove through my construction project and then across the Missouri River. Which if you have not hear is at a record high of 29.02 feet, the previous record was 28.00 feet in 1912. Thankfully right where we live there has not been property damage yet, but is both Minot and Bismark the flood fighting started a month ago and continues on. I really hope they do not have the close the road shown below because it would add 20 minutes to my drive to the construction site.
