Where the letter to end WWII was signed

The sign
We grab a quick breakfast at coffee stand and head out to be tourists at Pearl Harbor! First stop the Boffin Submarine. We listened to the tour using head phones. It was crazy how small the submarine was people literally slept on/next to the missiles and torpedoes. Then we caught the 10 am tour of the Arizona Memorial. We watch the movie and then took a boat ride out to the memorial. You could still smell the oil coming out of the ship We could also see air bubbles coming up. It was beautiful and sunny out! Our last stop in Pearl Harbor was the USS Missouri. It has just reopened in Mid January so we were excited to see it. We used these telephone looking devices to listen to some of the history of the ship. It was HUGE compared to the tiny Boffin.
We leftPearl Harbor and headed to Dole Pineapple Plantation for some lunch, and it was yummy! We did not pay to do any of the activities there but walked around the free garden area, looked at the poi pond and the gift shop. Then we drove the North Shore and watched some surfers and walked the beach. On the way back to Honolulu we stopped at Dole again for some Pineapple Whip (kinda like sherbert), it was sweet but oh so good.
We got stuck driving back to Waikiki. But once back we decide to take a dip in the swimming pool and watch the sunsest from the hot tub! We then found a restaurant in the hotel book thingy we wanted to go get drinks at and headed out to find it on the "strip." We did not write down the address and could not find it so after a little shopping we headed into a random one, that had an outdoor patio next to the ocean. It was called Dukes. There was a long wait, while we were deciding if we would wait for a table by the beach or go to the bar inside. While deciding an older couple who was 2nd on the waiting list asked if we would like to sit with them. We decided why not. They were in their 60's, from Washington, and very nice. They had dinner and Mike and I split nachos and had a couple fruity drinks! After that we walked the beach back toward our hotel, ate the cheese cake from the night before and hit the hay.
